• Hydroxyacetophenone is a synthetic antioxidant and skin conditioner. It is capable of neutralizing several types of antioxidants while also increasing the shelf life of the product. In addition, it also has the ability to inhibit the COX-2 enzyme on the surface of the skin, reducing the risks of irritation and allowing to keep the ingredient list fairly minimalistic;
• Citric acid comes from citrus fruits and has a solid reputation for its exfoliant and ph-balancing abilities. It is present in a very low percentage in the product. Hence, it allows grabbing a high amount of micro-residue that is typically invisible to the naked eye while still respecting the skin barrier integrity. First, shake the closed bottle of La Roche-Posay Oil-Infused Micellar Water Ultra Sensitive Skin  for a few seconds and allow the oily (blue) phase to combine with the watery (clear) one. Then, open the cap and saturate a cotton pad with the product. Sweep around the whole face surface and the areas of the neck where makeup was applied. On the eye area, gently press for a few seconds without tugging and then gently lift off makeup with outward motions. Repeat until the dirt and makeup residue is fully removed. Finally, follow with a suitable skincare routine.
