Yamá Beauty Care DekapColor System Color Remover is a product designed to totally or partially remove artificial pigments from oxidative hair dyes. Its formula works to eliminate only the artificial color molecules from the hair, not affecting the natural hair color. This product does not lighten the hair but may reveal the natural lightening background created by the peroxide used in previous coloring processes. Free from ammonia and oxidizing agents, this product does not damage the hair's structure. It's designed for those who want to remove artificial color from their hair in order to prepare it for a new color application.

How to perform the skin patch and strand tests:
The Dekap Color System acts only to remove hair color that requires a mixture with a developer (hydrogen peroxide). Do not use it on hair treated with henna, hennés, direct pigment dyes, or Bigen. The product does not act as a lightening bleach on natural hair.
The Dekap Color System may produce varying results depending on factors such as hair condition, the shade of the dye, the volume of the developer used in the previous coloring process, and the duration of time the color has been in the hair. In the first applications, visible results may not appear due to color saturation in the hair strands. Dark or vibrant dyes (such as reds) tend to saturate hair more frequently, making color removal more challenging. In such cases, multiple applications may be necessary to achieve complete color removal. Once the color is removed, the hair may present a “faded” color due to the hydrogen peroxide that was used in the previous coloring process, as it lightens the hair according to the volume used.
A new hair dye can be applied after using the Dekap Color System, following the recommendations provided on the packaging of the hair dye. The final result will depend on the percentage of the previous color successfully removed from the hair. To assess the expected result of the new color, it's recommended to carry out a strand test.
Preparation: It's essential to perform a patch test and a strand test before application. Before using the product, shampoo the hair with a clarifying shampoo and dry it. Put on the protective gloves and add the entire contents of the Activator bottle to the bottle with the Color Remover, making sure to maintain equal proportions. Close the packaging and shake it to mix the product.
Application: Use the mixture immediately after its preparation. Do not store any remaining mixture for later use. With dry hair, divide it into four sections. Apply the mixture evenly to each strand, ensuring thorough coverage. Maintain a minimum distance of 1 cm from the scalp. If targeting specific stained areas, focus the application on those sections. It may be necessary to use two kits in order to guarantee a thorough application. For damaged or sensitized hair, leave the product on for 60 minutes. For more resistant hair, the processing time can be extended to 90 minutes. After the designated time, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. If it is necessary to reapply the product, do not wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner; otherwise, you can shampoo, condition, and fully dry your hair.
Reapplication: If further color removal is needed, you can perform a second application on the same day. After the first application, rinse thoroughly with warm water, dry your hair about 80%, and reapply the product following the same steps. For more damaged hair, do not exceed the maximum time of 120 minutes of product action between the two applications; for more resistant hair, do not exceed the maximum time of 180 minutes between the two applications. After the waiting time of the second application, thoroughly rinse the hair, use shampoo and conditioner, and fully dry the hair.
