• St. John's wort (or Hypericum) is a native plant from the moderate climate zones of America and Europe. Mainly, its active ingredient is hyperforin - an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial component. It helps the skin to become resilient to free radicals, reduces its sensitivity, and prevents alteration of skin protein, a crucial factor in skin aging;
• Glycolic acid is a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). Therefore, it belongs to an ingredient category that can act as a water-binding agent and as an exfoliant. Hence, it renews the surface layer of the skin (particularly dead skin cells and sun damage), revealing a bright and even skin tone;
• Chamomile is another fragrant plant. Valued for its anti-inflammatory properties, it contains the terpenoids chamazulene and bisabolol to deeply soothe irritation. Firstly, mix a proper amount of Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser with water until it starts to lather. Then, gently massage over wet skin with circular motions for a few seconds. Rinse with clean and lukewarm water and pat dry without rubbing. Consequently, alternate the use of this cleanser with neutral ones (1 to 3 weekly times on dry to combination skins, 2 to 3 times on combination to oily skins) to avoid over-exfoliation. Not recommended for use with topical prescriptions, acne-erupted, or sensitive skin.
